Me and a gentleman friend in 15th century costumes. Ladies, if you ever wanted to look pregnant, this is one way to do it. My undergown is a long sleeved princess styled gown (patterns available in any fabric shop) and the overdress is a skirt gathered into the bodice. The only hard part was getting that bodice right, because it is one weird-shaped piece of fabric.
The gentleman's houpellande is made from maroon velvet, lined in the sleeves and neck with patterned ivory satin to coordinate with my skirt. Under that he wears a shirt and hose. Both outfits are trimmed with gold braid, pearls, and yellow rhinestones.
