Lost Wool Crazy Patch Quilt

The quilt that is lost is an antique crazy patch primarily made from wool. Lost in Iowa near Faith Baptist Bible college, Ankeny, Iowa in 1973 or 1974. A student at the college had the quilt and never returned it to our family. He just seemed to disappear and never got in touch again. The grapevine said that his things from the dorm were gotten rid of. I don't want to believe that someone threw the quilt away. I hope they took it and are keeping it safe.

There is much hand embroidery work on the quilt and the intials C W P, B A R, or B A P. There is a house embroidered on it. My grandfather's name was Charles W. Pobanz, his full name could possibly be on the quilt along with a date. I remember it as being a very heavy weight quilt. Lots of dark colors with bright embroidery work. Approximately twin size.

I would love to have this quilt returned. My Mother made it for my grandfather in the late 40's or early 50's.

As far as I know there are not any pictures of this quilt. Along with the quilt was an antique zither. That might jog someone's memory.
