"First December in Ohio"
Good news! This quilt was delivered by UPS to the owner on August 18, 1999.

Hello!
Can you post another missing quilt?
My quilt was the unfortunate victim of a series of blunders by UPS. On June 14, 1999 I shipped it via UPS to the NQA show in Omaha, Nebraska. Apparently, on the way to the show, the instructions and the check for return shipment that were on the INSIDE of the box came OUT of the box. (UPS returned them to me 24 days later.) The quilt arrived at the show and got second place in its category. It was shipped back to my house COD, but no one was there because we were on vacation. (The instructions that I sent with the quilt directed NQA to send my quilt to a friend's address.) Because no one was at my house to pay $9 for shipment, the quilt was returned to the shipper in Omaha, Nebraska. On the way back to Omaha, UPS lost the quilt. It has been in UPS never-never land since July 6. They are unable to track it or find it.
The name of my quilt is "First December in Ohio." It was made by Maria Elkins of Dayton, Ohio. The quilt is a life-size (40'' x 50''), realistic fireplace complete with photos of my daughters and husband on the mantle. It is quite distinctive and memorable. The hurricane lamps shown in the photo were not sent to the NQA show. Also there were five photos on the mantle instead of four. (The hurricane lamps and photos are all separate quilts in themselves so I could move them around or change them.)
Thank you for any help you can be to me.
