Quillow Poems

A QUILLOW FOR YOU -- Shelley Michel (c)1989 Used with permission
Use me as a pillow
Unless you get cold
Then pull out my stuffing
And gently unfold
I'm a lap quilt now
With space for your feet
And when you're all done
Fold me back nice and neat
QUILLOW
We don't know the name of this
But we call it a Quillow
That's because it's mother was a quilt
It's father was a pillow
The talents it received from each
Are actually quite neat
It's soft and fluffy for your head
It helps to warm your feet
The pillow need not be explained
Lay down your head and sleep
The quilt part is a little more
It's really very deep
Just pull the inside out of it
And open it real wide
The pocket that you find there
Is for your feet to hide
When you get up awake and warm
Just hold it beneath your chin
Then fold both sides toward the mid
And tuck the bottom in.
